The Grand Sumorum

We stayed in the new building and had a wonderful experience. The room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The spa was excellent, and the convenience store on the lower floor made things easier during our stay. We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return.

View was amazing, on the beach and trail. Easy to walk to restaurants.

White lights instead of yellow, dark basement.

Excellent, large breakfast buffet. Spacious & modern room with beautiful ocean views. Helpful staff. Nice, year-round heated pool that we used in October.

You need to have a Korea credit card to use the self access convenience store in the basement, so will not work for foreigners.

The variety of options at breakfast (Korean and western options) every morning was great. The coastal views were beautiful! We loved that we could walk along the Olle trail to cafes and a few restaurants.

This isn't necessarily something that we didn't like, as we understood where it was located, but I would highly recommend renting a car if you stay at this location as it is tucked back on the road and about 15 minutes from downtown Seogwipo. It's helpful to have a car to get around the island and very affordable.

The room was quite large, very comfortable and had a great view!Their facilities are very clean and the glass walls of the gym makes for a great workout session!The restaurant staff was particularly lovely and the food was delicious.

The location is a bit remote. There is nothing around. The sea is nearby, but you definitely can’t swim there

Very good restaurant on the premises. There is gym and lot of pools. Very kind staff and my only one problem was solved by Mr. Park from front desk in the second to my absolute satisfaction. Absolutely pro customer staff. Very good ratio price/value.

Beds are hard, they knew there were 5 of us and no extra bed—plus they wanted to charge us extra for more bedding—which they finally conceded to just giving to us for free. The place was maybe nice at the start but you can tell it wasn’t made very well. There are tiles bulging in the walls and floor, parts of the door frame are bowing out, and the couch looks so old and gross. Breakfast should be included for the price we paid, and most of the hot items were cold! Like scrambled eggs, meat, etc. all cold!

The location of the hotel was absolutely amazing, with beautiful sea views that made the stay very scenic and peaceful. The staff were also excellent — very friendly, helpful, and professional throughout our visit.

I was quite disappointed with some aspects of our stay. We booked one of the most expensive rooms — a suite with a sea view — but the bathroom was not up to standard. It was sticky and constantly had an unpleasant smell, similar to urine, even after trying to use perfumes and sprays. This was unexpected for a suite at this price point.Breakfast was another letdown. The quality and variety were lacking, and overall it did not feel worth the cost. For the price we paid, I expected much better.

Good location

I booked mountain view for 6 nights but I got third floor with green house & parking lot views. Mountain is way far away to see it. So I have to move to other hotel after two nights.Beds are too hard like rock.Staffs are not friendly.

We stayed at the Grand Sumorum for 4 nights. We loved it!! Our room was very spacious, clean, modern, comfortable and quiet with an amazing view of the ocean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was the best we’ve ever had! The location was unbeatable in front of the Jeju Olle trail, and it was central to many places we wanted to visit. Parking was easy. Highly recommend this place to stay and we definitely plan to book this place whenever we return to Jeju Island.

The staff is the most unhelpful staff I have met over 65 countries that I have travelled to around the world. No matter what you asked for, the reply is NO.. Even something as simple as asking them to make veg fried rice with eggs for breakfast to accommodate our dietary requirements when we had already paid for 2 days of breakfast buffet.. On day one we arrived late and wanted cutlery to eat some ready to eat meals that we picked up and guess what their reply was.. NO cutlery.. Finally one of us went down to the reception and begged for a few forks and spoon and got them

Loved our stay. Had all the facilities we needed and sauna rooms were a bonus. Location is nice and lots of food options close by if you have a car as we are out for all out meals.

Wish the indoor pool was also heated but that’s a very minor complaint.
